Give the Gift of Catholic Education

A gift toward Catholic education and scholarships means giving children an excellent education rooted in our faith, preparing the next generation to be servant leaders. It means forming virtuous disciples who build up the kingdom of God and witness to Christ for more faithful, joyful lives.

Your generosity reaches teachers, students and families from all over the Archdiocese. Our goals are to strengthen vitality of our schools and to make an excellent Catholic education accessible to all families and children. You can help make this dream a reality for schools and for families.

Support Our Students

Fondly named after our patron saint of the Archdiocese and the city of Detroit, the St. Anne’s Scholars Scholarship Fund was established in response to Archbishop Vigneron’s call in his pastoral letter, Unleash the Gospel, for Catholic Schools to be made more accessible to all families who have a financial need and desire a Catholic education for their children.

During the 20-21 school year, more than $150,000 in scholarships were awarded to 63 students across 23 schools. That grew to nearly $300,000 for the 21-22 school year, with deep gratitude to our generous donors and philanthropists.

Invigorate our Schools

The Archdiocese of Detroit is home to 27,000 students across 86 elementary and high schools. There are many opportunities to invigorate our schools, and support our 2,500 Catholic educators.

Archbishop Vigneron has launched the Archbishop’s Fund for Catholic Education, to serve as a flexible fund for donors who wish to designate their gift to a specific school or purpose in support of Catholic schools and education.

  • A donor may give to this fund if they wish to give to the largest area of need, support the recruitment and retaining of the best possible Catholic educators, and more.
  • This fund also supports teachers with essential educational programs and items for their classrooms, such as STEAM learning, robotics, coding, entrepreneurship skills, and more.
